The venue

A coffee house where every detail is composed

Harudot Chonburi is the latest addition to the Nana Coffee Roasters portfolio of premium coffee houses. Carefully crafted beverages, baked goods, and gourmet brunches are served in a bright, elegantly designed environment where modern architecture, nature, food, and drink blend together.

Sound is part of that composition. The audio shapes the ambience across the service, dining, and meeting areas, indoors and out — so the experience holds together from the first sip to the last.

The challenge

Set the mood without breaking the design

Audio plays a key role in creating the right ambience at Harudot Chonburi. The loudspeakers had to suit the formats and finishes of the shop's service, dining, and meeting areas rather than stand out from them.

Comfort came first. Superior intelligibility at lower volumes keeps daytime levels easy for customers and staff, with headroom to turn things up for evening events.

  • Coverage across service, dining, and meeting areas

  • Indoor and outdoor zones

  • Finishes that match the interior and the darker exterior

  • Clear sound at low daytime volumes

  • Headroom for evening events

The solution

Compact Electro-Voice loudspeakers, matched to the room

A selection of Electro-Voice compact loudspeaker models was chosen in formats and finishes to complement the aesthetics of each space. Four ZX1i in white deliver the highest output for the main part of the shop. Four EVID-S5.2 in white, with low-end support from a pair of EVID-S10.1D subwoofers in white, give seamless coverage into adjacent areas, and a pair of EVID C4.2 ceiling speakers fills in overhead sound.

Outside, four EVID-S5.2 in black complement the darker finish of the shop's exterior. Five Dynacord L1300FD power amplifiers drive the whole system.

  • 4x Electro-Voice ZX1i (white) for the main shop floor
  • 4x Electro-Voice EVID-S5.2 (white) for adjacent areas
  • 2x Electro-Voice EVID-S10.1D subwoofers (white) for low-end support
  • 2x Electro-Voice EVID C4.2 ceiling speakers for overhead sound
  • 4x Electro-Voice EVID-S5.2 (black) for the exterior
  • 5x Dynacord L1300FD power amplifiers
The result

Sound that lives up to the coffee

The result is even, comfortable coverage across the whole venue — indoors, overhead, and outside — tuned for low daytime levels and ready to scale up after dark. The finishes keep the hardware in the background, so the design stays intact.

At Harudot Chonburi, the audio matches the standard of everything else on the menu.

  • Even coverage across every area, indoors and out

  • Clear, comfortable sound at daytime levels

  • Headroom for evening events

  • Loudspeakers that blend into the design
