The Voice of Broadcast

Variable-D studio legends and field-proof interview mics — the RE20 has been a radio, podcast and voice-over standard since 1968, and the omnidirectional RE50 gathers the news outside the studio.

RE20 — the Broadcast Legend

The voice of radio, in production since 1968 and barely changed. Variable-D keeps your tone steady as you work in, so leaning close doesn't pile on bass. Steel-bodied and internally pop-filtered, for booths & podcasts, kick drums & bass cabs.

RE27N/D — the Hotter RE20

The high-output sibling. You get up to 6 dB more output than the RE20, so you're running less preamp gain and hearing less hiss, with a bit more top end on the same Variable-D foundation. Two bass roll-offs and a high-frequency cut shape it at the mic & not in post.

RE320 — Voice & Instrument Dynamic

The versatile one, and the most affordable in the RE line. Flip the switch, and you go from flat, for voice and most instruments, to a kick-drum curve that reaches 30 Hz. Voice-over by day & backline by night, on one mic you don't have to re-buy.

RE50/B — Interview Classic

The news mic. Omnidirectional, so you point it roughly and still get the answer, and shock-isolated in an aluminum case so your grip doesn't land in the take. 269 grams in camera black, for doorsteps & press scrums.

RE50L — the Long-Body Interview Mic

The RE50L is the same omni on a longer handle, 242 mm against the RE50B's 197. That's the difference between your flag in the shot and your arm in it. Same shock isolation & the same four-stage filter, for sidelines & scrums.
